 I feel that trying to get your children to understand something amd being stern about it just drills it in their head. My parents were stern. But by no means struck me because I didn't comprehend what they were saying, or trying to get me to understand.

The fathers actions show that he honestly wants his child to be correct. I feel that he tried hard to help his child but in a way society frowns upon it.

In the 1950's it would've been accepted because no one messed with the fathers input.
